Explanations are written to separate practical troubleshooting from claims the tools cannot support. Browser tests are useful for narrowing a problem, but they are not a substitute for calibrated acoustic measurement, medical hearing evaluation or manufacturer repair diagnosis.
Privacy approach
Headphone and tone checks are generated locally in the browser. The microphone page asks for permission only after the user starts the test, and local recordings are used for playback in the current page session.
