How to get a useful reading
Choose the intended input device, speak at normal distance, and watch whether the level meter responds without staying pinned at the top. Use the short recording to confirm clarity, noise, clipping, or wrong input selection.
If you see movement but hear poor playback, check microphone gain, noise suppression, browser permission, and whether another app is using the device.
