Local audio processing
Most headphone and tone tests run entirely in your browser through Web Audio APIs. Test tones are generated locally and are not uploaded.
Microphone permission
The microphone page requests access only after you click Start Microphone Test. Live microphone data is used for the level meter and waveform in the current browser tab.
Recordings
Short microphone recordings are kept as temporary local browser objects for playback. They are not sent to a server and disappear when deleted or when the page session ends.
Local storage
We may store preferences such as theme, volume and recent frequency in localStorage. Do not store sensitive audio data in this site.
Analytics and ads
The site may use Google AdSense or related Google advertising products after approval. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers and similar technologies to serve ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and limit repeated ad display.
Google may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites. Users can manage ad personalization in Google Ads Settings, and many browsers provide controls for blocking or deleting cookies.
We do not intentionally pass personally identifiable information, microphone audio, recording objects or sensitive listening-test results to Google ad requests. If analytics or additional advertising tools are added later, this policy must be reviewed before those tools are enabled.
Consent for regions that require it
Where required by law or Google policy, visitors may need to provide consent before personalized advertising cookies or similar identifiers are used. Site operators should configure a consent message or Google-certified consent management platform before serving personalized ads to users in applicable regions such as the EEA, the UK or Switzerland.
